Kdrama, Anime, TV Wrap Up
I feel like I haven’t watched as much anime and Korean dramas since I started reading, and that’s mainly because if something didn’t catch my eye I wasn’t spending time watching it. In the past I have a lot of current animes a chance when I didn’t fully enjoy them, but I adored everything i recently watched.
The Apothecary Diaries is still ongoing but i absolutely love it! I love and kick my feet while watching this show. It’s got mystery, historical drama and a sprinkle of romance so I definitely recommend it. There’s also a manga if you like it and want to know more.
Another historical show I’m also loving is the second season of Heaven Official’s Blessing. They’re so cute and the subtle flirting going on in this season makes me scream. It’s so good so far I’m just sad they took such a big break between episode five and six.
Another second season show I’m watching is spy x family and I do enjoy this season but I liked the first season more. I don’t really know what it’s missing but it doesn’t have the same feel. Maybe it feels a little repetitive? I’m not sure, either way it’s still fun to watch after work.
The first Korean drama that got me hooked after a long time was My Demon. This show is so funny and sweet with a hint of mystery and darkness. There’s also the supernatural factor of him being a demon with powers that’s a lot of fun. I can’t wait to see where this couple go’s and where this story takes them.
I finished the revenge of others and it was not what I was expecting. I don’t know why I thought it would have more romance in it but it was full on mystery. She focuses on solving the secret behind her twin brothers death and a lot of other secrets start to unfold. It’s interesting to see what happens and where all of the students pieces come into play. There are some violent scenes so keep that in mind if you can’t handle that in the moment.
This has been the best show I’ve watched recently! I’m really hoping it gets a second season from Netflix cause I need to know more. I studied Japanese history and they covered what it was like to be half Japanese during this time period really well. The art style is also so unique and beautiful. I really connected with all of the characters and was rooting for them all in different ways.
