Convenience Store Appreciation

Convenience Store Appreciation

Now that I'm back at my university in the states I am missing the convenience stores that I grew to love in Japan. 7-eleven, Lawson and Family Mart I miss them all. I also miss having a 24 hour Family Mart next to my house. Yes, that's right! A Family Mart not even a 2 minute walk from my house. And now I have to drive to the CVS near me, its very sad.

I thought since I'm missing the wonderfulness of the Japanese Konbini that I would share some of my favorite things, and weird things, I found while I was there. The amount of different flavor pringles stood out to me the most! These are eggs Benedict and american post chicken. I had never tried these flavors and I'm glad I did but I'm not desperate to eat these now that I'm back.

Please ignore my chipped nail, I apologize for that. This was my favorite coffee while I was in Japan. I had this everyday on my way to class. Its only about a dollar and it is really good. I find that a lot of the other coffees you can get at the convenience store are very sweet but this one isn't too sweet in my opinion.

I did not try these eggs benedict chips but I was shocked to see this so often as a popular flavor. Another flavor that I don't have any pictures of is cilantro. Cilantro chips and lemonade with cilantro in it. I was not expecting that much cilantro everywhere. The BBQ cheetos weren't that bad but a bit different and I missed the normal cheetos.

I thought I'd just end this blog post with some dessert. I think I'll write a blog post about seasonal drinks and ice cream that I liked while I was in Japan but for now lets talk about these. Lindt chocolate in Japan has so many cool flavors! I've also had mango before which was really good but this really tastes like a key lime pie! This next to it is like pocky but a different brand. The sticks are like a pretzel without salt filled with a lemon cream. It reminded me of like a lemon cheese cake. Both are really good in the summer!
