Testing Eye creams
For all of 2019 I’ve been trying out different eye creams and now that we are at the end of the year I thought that I would put together this post with my thoughts on the ones I tried. These are in no particular order of my favorites and I can’t remember the order I tried them in.
The first one I have here is the cerave eye repair cream. I love cerave and typically love everything they do. I haven’t tried a product from them I don’t like. I do have another eye cream on this list I love a little more so I have turned this one into my travel eye cream because it is so small and easy to take with me. I have repurchased this again and again.
I have tried a serum from Acure and really loved it, and am on my second bottle now, which is what inspired me to try their eye cream. You don’t need very much because even though this looks creamy it almost gets watery when you use it and spreads a lot. I usually end up with excess and rub it in the back of my hands. I don’t think this is a bad eye cream but I don’t love it so I probably won’t buy it again.
Let’s talk tarte. I haven’t tried much tarte in terms of skin care, love their mascara and blush though, so I was curious. I bought at sephora a mini collection of tarte skin care stuff to try first. This was terrible! I immediately had hives and redness under my eyes and it made my skin under my eyes really red and itchy. It’s made me so hesitant to try any other skincare from them and I’m really glad I only bought this little thing.
This is from the brand Max and Jane and it is their eye nutrient, they have new packaging now. Compared to the other eye creams this one is very watery in consistency and is cooling under the eyes. I really like this one and I would buy it again but for now I have one I prefer more.
This one! This Japanese eye cream I had been hearing amazing things about! It’s $12 and it supposed to be the best eye cream at this price. While I was in Japan I went through one of these tubes and now I’m on a second one. I’m addicted. I found it online, a bit more than in Japan but if you’re in Japan pick it up.
