Goals for the New Year
Every year I make a list of resolutions like go to the gym three times a week, stop picking at your skin, or drink more water. But every year I do the same thing, on and off throughout the year I remember these things and then I start until I forget again. So instead this year I'm going to focus on goals I know I will complete. I also know that throughout the year I will probably add more goals for myself
My first goal is to finish and graduate from college. I am finishing up my senior year and I know this final semester is going to be a stressful one. I also have to finish my bachelors thesis and I need to finish a chapter before going back to school in February so I need to get on it.
My second goal is to get a job. One of the scariest things I've had to do in my life so far. I want to try and find a job in Japan so I can go back but I'm not interested in teaching english. I can speak Japanese fairly well and can understand it more but finding work in english that isn't teaching is extremely difficult.
My third and fourth goal is to work on my relationships and to balance work and fun. Not only the long distance one with my boyfriend but also the ones with my friends at school and family. My friends are all really busy as well and it's hard for us to get together a lot but I want to try and spend quality time with them every so often. The other thing is currently my grandmother is sick so my family is coming together a lot so I'm trying to be there for them more and balance my work.
I hope everyone is having a good year so far and don't feel like you have to make big resolutions if you don't want to or if it is too hard.
