Tokyo Birthday Weekend
This was the best birthday I could’ve asked for. This past saturday was my 23rd birthday and I only wanted to be back in Japan with my boyfriend. I’m so grateful to be here and back. My parents were super sweet and sent me flowers through 1-800 flowers, because they have an international order if you want.
I then went and wandered around while my boyfriend was at work. I did a separate Monday Moment on this place so check that out. It’s called Les Grandes Arbres.
Then later we went to dinner in the Yotsuya area, it was so good. We had spanish food and weirdly the restaurant was practically empty so it was like a private dinner. I wore these silk floral pants, which are actually pj pants, and a leather jacket.
The restaurant was called. And it was incredible! I don’t normally drink but their peach sangria was amazing! We also had the best pork and paella.
My boyfriend surprised me with this camera for my birthday. I almost cried I was so shocked. He told me he got it to help me with my blog and my youtube channel that I want to start. He has the same one in black so it’s like a cute couple camera.
Then on sunday we hung out and then we went to this cute local matsuri and a new Italian place. We found this hidden gem online and its a ten minute walk from where we live. It was so good and such a cute little hole in the wall. There wasn’t even a kitchen.
It’s so small but I really want to become regulars here and be friends with owner. They’ve been open for six years he said so my boyfriend was sad he hadn’t been here sooner.
The mozzarella he gave us to start was so amazing! And then we got this local fish and an oil and cream pasta. The food was like a fusion, Japanese and Italian food. It was amazing I think the best I’ve had in Japan. I would put the name but I kinda want to keep it a secret haha.
I also really really love all of the ceramics of this place. They’re absolutely beautiful and so unique! This one doesn’t even show up in photos but it had this purple sheen that showed up in the light.
