I’m so excited for the spring anime this season! So many good seasons are returning for more seasons and so many good new shows! So here is my list of what I’m going to be watching this season. Let me know what you’re excited to watch this season!

Fruits basket, the original, was the first anime I ever watched and it’s what got me hooked! I love kyo so much and I love the remake so I can’t wait to watch the new and final season!

If you’ve never seen fruits basket its about Tohru Honda an orphan girl who, after meeting Yuki, Kyo, and Shigure Soma, learns that twelve members of the Soma family are possessed by the animals of the Chinese zodiac and are cursed to turn into their animal forms when they are weak, stressed, or when they are hugged by anyone of the opposite sex that is not possessed by a spirit of the zodiac. As the series progresses, Tohru learns of the hardships and pain faced by the afflicted members of the Soma family, and through her own generous and loving nature, helps heal their emotional wounds. As she learns more about Yuki, Kyo, and the rest of the mysterious Soma family, Tohru also learns more about herself and how much others care for her.

It’s so cute and heart warming and I love all the characters. The new season starts April 6th

I’m so pumped for season five of my hero academia! I watched the first episode already and it is amazing! We’re also getting a movie and I can’t wait! I also decided to read the manga recently and it is so good! I’m hooked. The show pretty much follows the manga perfectly so if you can’t wait a week for a new episode I recommend reading it.

The story follows Izuku Midoriya a boy born without superpowers or a quirk in a world where they have become commonplace, but who still dreams of becoming a superhero himself. He is scouted by Number One Hero All Might Japan's greatest hero, who chooses Midoriya as his successor and shares his Quirk with him after recognizing his potential, and later helps to enroll him in a prestigious high school for heroes in training called UA. The story follows his journey to becoming a hero.

It is so freakin cute! I love this show so much and I love seeing all of the quirks!

I watched Moriarty the Patriot so fast! When I found out there would be a second season I was really excited. The show is a prequel, focusing on the youth of Holmes' nemesis, mathematics prodigy, William James Moriarty. Its got suspense and drama and it is so so good! It comes out April 4th

New Anime

This show is Shakunetsu Kabaddi and it is a new sports anime about a soccer team! Its about Tatsuya Yoigoshi, the former ace of his junior high school team, getting invited to join the Kabaddi club. Initially he mocks the idea but he decides to join after watching them play in a tournament.

I can’t wait to see this because I love sports anime! It is set to premier on April third

The next sports anime coming out is Bakuten!! yes the two exclamation points are in the name. It’s an anime about a male rhythmic gymnastic team and I can’t wait! It comes out sometime in April.

It’s about Shoutarou Futaba, a boy who is fascinated with mens rhythmic gymnastics and enrolls in a high school specifically to join their team. The story follows a team of unique seniors and his classmate as they reach for one goal.

The anime is called Mashiro no Oto and it is about the Shamisen, a traditional Japanese instrument that looks like a guitar. I really loved the anime Kono Oto Tomare and this seems very similar so I have high hopes for this. It comes out on April third

This anime looks so good! It has a really popular manga and I’ve seen the trailer. It’s about a legendary yakuza who single handedly defeated a rival gang with a lead pipe. His name strikes fear in both the police and vicious criminals. Soon after he disappears he resurfaces with a slight change in profession. He is now a full time stay at home house husband.

I studied Japanese history so I love watching historical anime. This is set in an alternate history in Japan in 1931 where it is the 64th year in the Meiji era and the Tokugawa shogunate was never abolished and Emperor Meiji was never restored to power. The anime will also involve the activities of Nue, an organization of shogunate executioners who enforce the government. The woman in the cover is Sawa Yukimyra, who’s family was killed when she was young and she is searching for the head of the Nue.

This looks so good and it is coming out on april 7th so I can’t wait!
